Udaipur Highlights Tour

What this tour is about:
This is a 5-hour tour of the main attractions within Udaipur city.

Things we will see:

City Palace Udaipur: We will visit the exquisite City Palace, with its marble and granite walls laden with miniature paintings, and decorated with tiles, glasswork and mirrors. A part of the palace is now a Museum. There are multiple mahals (palaces) and courtyards within the City Palace complex, connected by passages. The women’s quarters, the Zenana Mahal, are specially interesting, with beautiful windows and alcoves.
Jagdish Temple: The majestic Jagdish Temple, built in 1652, is dedicated to the Hindu God Vishnu. The outer walls and the temple spires are covered with beautiful carvings and since this temple is in active use, you will also be able to witness the prayers.
Saheliyon ki badi: This is an elegant garden called Garden of the Maids of Honour, said to have been laid out for a group of forty-eight young women attendants who accompanied a princess to Udaipur as part of her dowry.
Vintage car collection: We will also visit the famous vintage and classic car collection of the Maharajah of Udaipur, housed in a heritage circular garage. The garage was built at the time where no one else in Udaipur owned cars, and includes an original Burmah Shell petrol pump.

How the tour works:
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 a.m. and drop you back around 1:30 p.m. If you prefer to be dropped at a restaurant please let the driver know.

Rs 8500 for 1-2 persons

Includes:
Air-conditioned small car, driver with cell phone, fuel, parking charges, tolls, trained guide, bottled water and all taxes. Please note, we will not be visiting the Crystal Museum at the City Palace.
